New LAD81DER In Service!
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

On Saturday, February 21st, 2008 the new LAD81DER was placed into service. Crews worked from about 19:00 hours to 24:00 hours stripping the old ladder and then setting the equipment on the new one. 500 feet of 5 inch hose was packed into the hose bed. Hand tools, saws, hooks, and ladders were all put in place. The new ladder is now a "city truck" in the fact that it will also be the first due apparatus for motor vehicle accidents. It has 2 hydrolic power units on it with 2 spreaders, 2 cutters, and 2 rams. All the cribbing was put onto the truck as well. The truck was lettered by Harrison Graphics and came out perfect!
