Structure Fire Mutual Aid to Wayne County

On Thursday, May 20th, 2010, 81 Ladder was dispatched as mutual aid to Wayne County for a working structure fire with entrapment on Mott Road in Welcome Lake. 81 Ladder went responding with a crew of 6 interior firefighters. Upon arrival they found heavy smoke coming from all sides of the structure with flames visable on the D side of the building. 26 Chief ordered truck operations from our department and the crew surrounded the building with ground ladders. 81 Ladder vented the building then started a search of the structure. Negative entrapment was confirmed and assist with extinguishment was done by the ladder crew. All units went returning.

8/8/2010: Business Meeting - 6:30 PM

The Forest Volunteer Fire Department has approximately 30 members and responds to an average of 100 calls anually. The department covers the western part of Lackawaxen Township which includes the village of Kimbles and the communities of Woodledge, TinkWig, and Woodloch Springs. The department provides fire protection services to the homes and businesses in our area, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
